DSI Project Engagement Expectations
- Faculty project proposers are expected to facilitate some essential advising and mentorship for your student team.
- You should make plans to have someone meet regularly with your team: either the project proposer, or someone appointed by the proposer with adequate subject matter expertise (e.g. graduate student, advanced undergraduate research staff, a member from your organization).
- While no minimum is required, what you get out of the experience is related to time you can invest with the students. 1 hour per week minimum is recommended to start.
- Project proposer is responsible for all project expenses. DSI does not have a formal budget for materials, components, travel, and other expenses related to the project.
